Hello my lovely jubblies! I come with the news that sadly this is the last post ever to be published on 'stereospecs'...but fear not, for I am moving to a brand new blog. I needed a fresh start and so I've created a blog for absolutely everything. If you want to make my day come over and say hi, maybe even follow me if you're in a good mood, there might be an answer to your question on my first ever post (ooh, how exciting!).

I'm Over Here!
Welcome to my fresh new blog which I am, quite honestly, a little too excited about.
With no purpose whatsoever, this is my little space to write about e v e r y t h i n g; a blog without boundaries. You can expect posts about travel, music, momentous happenings in the world, even what my cats are getting up to. Oh, it is a hard life sleeping all day and having food handed to you...although, having said that, one of them still hasn't fathomed the mechanics of the cat flap. Anyway, the reason behind this (yet another) change is, after my previous indecisiveness and having a month free from the internet, I just thought I should have a mahoosive blog in which I'm not restricted to what style of posts I can write. With my beloved 'stereospecs' music blog I kind of felt that I wasn't posting for myself at all anymore so I am sadly going to have to say goodbye to my 336 followers, 109 posts and whole lotta writing. If you're migrating from stereospecs please do say hi and follow me on here instead, I still love you guys and will follow everyone that I used to. Seeing so much on my expedition, I just wanted to write about it all. So TADAA! 'Hakuna Mootata' has arrived, albeit with a misspelt word as I got last dibs on the name I wanted and couldn't think of another one, and I am ready to go. Awoohoo!

Update / News / Changes
Exciting news! You may have realised that I've changed the name of my blog from musicandmollie to Stereo Specs, allow me to explain...
Okay, so I realise that I have been a bit distant from this blog in recent weeks; I've been considering changing to a different format and style and what not as I have been in deliberation as to whether or not I should create a music blog solely for that purpose. So, after a lot of contemplation, I've decided that I shall continue to use musicandmollie, now Stereo Specs, to write and inform about the latest and greatest musical developments. Exciting, right?
But, don't think that this is the last of Mollie. In order to continue writing my more personal posts, as well as the odd musical exploration, I have created a brand new blog that I hope to use as a kind of scrapbook; somewhere to discuss my latest musings, such as recent obsessions, as well as developing my writing in doing so.
Who knows, I may find this a completely useless idea and end up using this blog for everything but ho hum.

Creative Blog Award
Disclaimer: I'm sorry to the creator of this award, i had to change the title from 'Kreativ' to 'Creative' because it was annoying the heck out of me and i also used a different image.

I was awarded The Creative Blog Award by the lovely Josie and Corrine so thankyou to them for allowing me to do this post.
1. Name your favourite song: At the moment i am constantly listening to anything by The Black Keys; their latest single Gold On The Ceiling is so good.
4. When i'm upset, i... Watch too much reality tv and eat lots of chocolate.
5. Favourite pet? No, i can't do it. I have three cats and they're all such cutie pies.
6. Black / White? I prefer to wear black, i'm an unfathomably messy eater.
7. Biggest fear? Not knowing what my future holds. Although it's quite exciting when my imagination wanders off and conjures up a range of scenarios for what my life could potentially be like.
8. Everyday attitude? Be open-minded towards everything; you can learn so much so don't confine yourself. Be positive, you never know what could happen.
9. What is perfection? Eddie Redmayne. Only kidding. Well not really, he is the dream, but i suppose perfection means a different thing to everybody. For me, i think a sense of imperfection is really intriguing; if everybody was perfect then we'd have a pretty boring world.
10.Guilty Pleasure? I watch reality tv shows religiously. I was so upset when The Hills and The City ended and i don't care how many times my mum told me that it was all set up, it was real life and i wanted to be Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port's bezzie.

2. Name your favourite dessert: Seriously? This is like asking me to choose my favourite artist / band - near on impossible. I think i'm going to have to go with a classic cheesecake.
3. What ticks you off? As soon as i read this is started singing "ticked off, ticked off, i am really ticked off!" from School Of Rock. Is that bad? I think that's bad. I don't think that there are specific things that get on my nerves, it's usually when i'm in a bad mood. However, i don't like people who after seeing that someone likes a song are all like "are you serious?! I heard this song five months ago i can't believe you are only just listening to it" and they go all "that's so mainstream" ape on them. It's really pathetic and annoying.4. When i'm upset, i... ·I can find something funny in absolutely anything.
·It baffles me how i am yet to find someone who shares the love i have for Travie McCoy.
·I'm working towards grade 8 on the flute and i taught myself to play the piano and guitar; although that doesn't mean i'm good at it.
·The term 'band geek' could be used to describe me due to the fact that i'm in a wind orchestra...yes, the American Pie band camp reference has been used many times.
·I truly believe that Friends is the best tv programme on the planet and nothing will ever come close to how good it was / still is.
·Finally, i am a foodoholic - if it's edible it will be eaten.

dear musicandmollie
dear musicandmollie,
I created a blog to archive my journeys within music and to express my opinions on artists, composers and songs in general. As a musical person playing the flute to reach grade 7 (still going strong), taking it upon myself to learn piano on the keyboard when i was 12 and eventually the guitar two years ago, i just felt i could turn to blogging to write about my views and musical finds. I have a strong opinion on fame whores and 'artists' that lip-synch. They will not be making an appearance on my blog. I don't like to define myself as to what genre of music i listen to, i'm open to everything and if i like that particular piece of music then so be it. This ties in with my favourite quote: to define is to limit.
here are a few of my favourite artists...
I sing alot at home where nobody can hear me. I get very fearful of what others will think, it is a negative quality to have but i can't help but get nervous. I intend to use this blog to upload my covers/songs and keep a record of my progress in that respect also.
